Does the BAR not work in Excel...or am i missing something? If you run the following in PDF you get bars...if you run it in EXL2K you do not.

Yes Prarie it does not work. I tried that some weeks ago, a user wanted the output in excel and I saw him copying the html output into excel and that gave him the bars, but they all moved down one line so I tried to help him by giving the opportunity to output to excel, but no way....
BTW if you put your code between those red carrots.....
