A TSO Dataset, that contains a FOCUS database, is having its OPTCD (Optional Services Code) setting change.

The change we are seeing is a change from 'C' to 'Z'.

('C' = 'Chained Scheduling', 'Z' = 'Search - Direct')

One of the processes that operate on this file is FOCUS 7.6.4 MODIFY routines.

Will a FOCUS process cause a change to the OPTCD of its attendant dataset?

[The reason that this is an issue, is that another s/w product we use to copy datasets (USCCOPY), does not support OPTCD = Z. FOCUS is happy to continue working with this dataset, USCCOPY is not.]
