When a report is delivered to a user via email is there any way to put a column(s) total on the subject line.

variable subject lines has been NFR'd for a while. I, too, am curious where IBI stands on this issue....

Since the schjedule (including the Subject line if distribution is via email) has to be complete prior to running the Fex, there is no way to put a column totall in the subject line. That said, here is a possible workaround that we use. Schedule and run the fex with FTP as the distribution mechanism. Grab the column total value. Now use SMTP to email the user with a URL to the FTP'd file, and put the column total value in the email subject.
