Hi all,

I want to know how to use COL SPAN on the data columns in EXL2K format?
$TYPE=DATA, HEAD ALIGN=BODY, COL SPAN=2$ does not work. I have tried it.
I couldn't find any help in Technical documentation also.

Any help please .

1st try getting the code correct

2nd COLSPAN DOES NOT WORK with data columns it is for use only on

Headings, Footings and SUB Head/Foot.

What exactly are you trying to achive?

I want to COLSPAN the data in two columns.
Like the way we are merging the cells in excel. This i want it only for data in the report.

Is there any other way??

You need to use a template macro to do the formatting in Excel

I no understand why merging you want? I merge cells in excel I lose last data. That I no want. You have two data merge to one? I no see why!

You are absolutely correct from an excel point of view and it does seem like a strange requirement.

However there can be legitimate reasons for doing such a thing for presentation reasons.

But it only makes sense if all cells except the first are empty.

It is possible to create the report entirely as subheads and subfoots to control the layout of the data.
