Is there a way to have focus check the entire logic of the query before it runs it? I have a huge query with dozen sections that create data dump files... Usually it executes then half way down it find an error with something. Is there a way for it to check the entire code before executing it?
If you just want to check for the general coding errors, add SET XRETRIEVAL = OFF on the first line of your query this would not execute the query and just checks for the coding errors.
The only problem I've found with SET XRETRIEVAL=OFF is that the agent crashes when a complex program has MORE FILE - I cannot reproduce the error at the moment...
Very annoying, so hopefully this has been fixed in versions newer than 5.3.2.
