supress the coloum on condition

MY report contains two parts based on some currency. if the currency is local it should display the column , if currency is global it should supress the entire column.Whole data is there in one hold file. I need the output in html/pdf/excel

I need soming thing like this

Table file temp_hold
print
col1
col2
col3
col4
by col5
ON TABLE HOLD FORMAT pdf
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
----
end

col3 column should be display if col5=L and should not display when col5=G

I think Susannah's solution only works if you print only USD or only not USD.
In a mixed report it will not work.

I think what you want is
col5 col1 col2 col3 col4
USD  123       xxx  aaa
     222       aaa  bbb
EUR  250  300  axc  ccx
GBP  100  180  cxs  xxs


If this is what you want then

DEFINE FILE xxx
COL3X/D12S=IF COL5 EQ 'USD' THEN 0 ELSE COL3;
END

TABLE FILE xxx
PRINT 
COL1
COL2X
COL3
COL4
BY COL5
END

in that case Susannah's was ok.
But if you want it all in one report I think you have to build it up in two fex parts, and then put the output into a pchold and build a separate html page where you combine the two reports

It's a bit difficult to make the whole fex whit the proper functions since I do not have the software here available.
