[SOLVED] Creating an auto-index field in a master file
Hello,
I'm currently working with a master file that was created from an old database. It would help me allot if it had a primary key but it doesn't so I need to create one.
Is it possible to create a field that is an auto-index like in MS Access or do I need to do this outside the dev studio?
Thanks in advance. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

The only way I know of is to use the REBUILD command.
You should check it out in the documentation.

Thank you for the reply Waz.
I ended up PRINTING the table into a HOLD with FORMAT FOCUS so it would automatically add the FOCLIST index and now I'm working with that HOLD.
Just thought I'd leave this here just in case anyone has the same question.
