Add parameter in Report Caster
Trying to schedule a report in ReportCaster but having some issues when adding a parameter. When I go to the Advanced Task options to enter my parameters, it allows only 8 parameters and I want to add more. Can anybody tell me how I can do that?

i have no diff with a fex with 18 parms.
and it takes the parms directly from the default settings in the fex. i don't have to enter them; if i just execute the fex from mre, a screen comes up with all the default parms (because i have it set to 'Prompt for Parameters')
If you want rc to do the work, set your fex to prompt for parms..then go set up the RC job, letting caster give you the parm list and default values. then once the rc job is set, go back to the fex and turn off 'prompt for parameters'.

Is there any way I can add more parameters in Report Caster other than changing in FEX? The problem for me is I dont have access to modify those Fex's because those are in different server.

k, i don't mean change the fex.
just changing its properties in mre to allow it to 'Prompt for Parameters' will then let your RC new schedule display the entire list of parms, with their default values, which you can set to whatever you need.

I'm not using MRE, it's an Self-serv application.

Hi Kamesh

I realize that you have your answer, but just to let you know... Caster Params are stored in a table called BOTPARMS in the Caster Repository. You can manually modify them in there.
