Can I get at the application path property that is set in Dev. Studio when you right click and go to properties? We want to programmically globally change it to point to a test app path for all the reports in a particular domain.
I've tried changing the Domain's App Path property but that must be getting overridden by one of the global profiles that set it.

I'm not exactly sure what it is that you're looking for, but here goes:
1. the properties of the application that live in the 'Projects on' part of DS are stored in the wfscom.xml file which is being created for each user on his/her own local machine or environment (c:\documents and settings\username\aplication data\information builders). I don't think you can create something that globally changes this for every user.
2. the properties for the domain in the 'Managed Reporting' part of DS is stored in the mrrepos.htm file that is located in the webfocus7x\basedir directory. There is only one file for the entire system. You may have succes in manually changing this file.

One way I would do it:

1: Ensure the MRE Domain is available as a DM variable by adding it to the WF Admin Console Custom Variables window (site.wfs):
<set> IBIMR_domain = &IBIMR_domain (pass)

2: Execute a small fex for every WF command by adding this site profile command to the WF Admin Console Custom Variables window (site.wfs):
_site_profile=-INCLUDE SITEPROF

3: Create a fex called siteprof.fex that Prepends the test App to the PATH: 
-DEFAULT &IBIMR_domain = '';
-IF &IBIMR_domain NE 'francism/francism.htm' GOTO END_CUST;
APP PREPENDPATH baseldev
-RUN
-END_CUST

The fex can be called anything, I called it siteprof. The fex can be anywhere in the App Path, I put it in baseapp.

I'm wondering what the difference is in:

1) using the individual fex properties (right-click) and add 'application paths';
2) program APP (PREPEND) PATH in the script of the individual fex?

Could anyone explain what the differences are?
