Hi,
I'm getting the below error in the Report Assistant.
FOC2525:FOREIGN KEY IS NOT A SUPERSET OF PRIMARY KEY FOR SEGMENT
The forums says to put the SET ALL=PASS .Even though I get the error. I do this when I do not have any data for the period selected. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards,
SAM

msam, we really need a bit more detail. It sounds like you are doing a join and it would be helpful to know what kind of data you are trying to join, relational, indexed, etc. Generally the join rule is that you could to a primary key or and initial subset of a primary key. Read up on JOIN restrictions which do vary by data source type.

You have to look at the number of key fields in the cross-reference table. If you're not joining to all of those fields, adding "ALL" to the join may make it work.

JOIN TBL1.FLD1 IN TBL1 TO ALL TBL2.FLD1 IN TBL2 AS J1

HI Francis,
How can I do this in Report Assistant as I have a Master File and I'm doing the join in the access file as shown below.

SEGNAME=ABC,
KEYFLD=POL/NBR/SUFFIX/DATE,
TABLENAME=databasename.dbo.view_name,
KEYS=4,
IXFLD=POL/NBR/SUFFIX/DATE,

Regards,
MSAM

I hand code my JOIN statements so I am not too familiar with Report Assistant, but it might be controlled by the "Instances" select list - try "Multiple".
