Grids: In an HTML report, you can use the GRID attribute in a StyleSheet to turn grid lines on and off for the entire report. When used in conjunction with internal Cascading StyleSheets, GRID produces a thin grid line rather than a thick double line (the HTML default). In PDF reports you can use the HGRID and VGRID attributes to add horizontal or vertical grid lines and adjust their density.
So I thought this code should provide me with "a thin grid line rather than a thick double line", it does not:
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
SALES
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLESHEET *
TYPE=REPORT, GRID=ON, FONT='ARIAL', SIZE=8, $
ENDSTYLE
END

Give me code, or give me retirement. In FOCUS since 1991
Production: WF 7.7.05M, Dev Studio, BID, MRE, WebSphere, DB2 / Test: WF 8.1.05M, App Studio, BI Portal, Report Caster, jQuery, HighCharts, Apache Tomcat, MS SQL Server
works like a charm and you don't need to turn htmlcss on. dont you wish that ugly double GRID would go away?This message has been edited. Last edited by: susannah,

Can't speak to the help file, but this code does what I think you may be looking for. Grid sets the Grid on or off, border sets the width.
TABLE FILE CAR SUM SALES BY COUNTRY ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON ON TABLE SET STYLESHEET * TYPE=REPORT, GRID=ON, BORDER=1,FONT='ARIAL', SIZE=8, $ ENDSTYLE END

LIGHT and HEAVY are english representations of numeric values, yes. The numbers give you better control. You can use the BORDER attribute to set width, BORDER-COLOR to set color, and BORDER-STYLE to set styles such as DOTTED, GROOVE, and others. You'll have to use a report output drop-down in Layout Painter to see the available border styles, I can't find them documented anywhere.
Glad to help.
