It is basically a report writer requirement. The users will have the option to select the columns from different tables and based on the selection criteria provided, the report has to be generated dynamically. Also there will be some fields where they can do some calculations and generate. Which is the best way to do this? Where can I get some documentation/example for what approach to be taken?
Thanks for your help.
Regards, Cyril Joy.

From what you describe, it sounds like a perfect case for MRE (Managed Reporting Environment). This could be implemented through the MRE interface itself, or even through Dashboard (Business Intelligence Dashboard), which is a very controlled approach allowing the fucntionality of Managed Reporting. IBI has 3 manuals available for managed reporting; User, Developer, Administrator. You might start with these to see if this is the approach that might work for you.
