running 7.1.6 When I drilldown to an excel report and then drilldown another level to another excel I can't seem to use the back arrow to get back to previous report. I have to click the little down arrow next to the back arrow and select the report. When I do this I see a wfservlet along with the report
wfservlet is as follows http://ywebfocus1:8080/ibi_apps/WFServlet
could this be why I cannot use the back arrow to get back to previous report

Use the search button and the words 'back button'. There are lots of posts on this topic.
