Has anyone else tried loading a portal (WF 8.0.5) in the new edge browser that comes with windows 10? I get a strange pop up screen that I never have never seen before "Bindows belongs to MB technologies...." and then a grey screen. Everything works fine in all other browsers. This is strictly with Edge. The browser seemed fine on every other site I tried (heavy javascript etc).
Given that MS is providing the upgrade for free and new pcs will default to Edge, it will quickly grow in market share.
I did not have any time to debug the problem yet, just wondering whether anyone else has seen issues with MS Edge.
Thanks

You guys are quick adopters of Windows 10! haha We are still working/running on Windows 7 Enterprise here. Haven't had the opportunity to try our portals out with that browser yet. Good luck!
8.2.02M (production), 8.2.02M (test), Windows 10, all outputs.

we are customer facing so we need to be prepared for anything.
here is the response I got after I opened a case...
"The BI Portal will not run correctly in Microsoft Edge. This is an issue we are aware of, and in the upcoming WebFOCUS release 8.1.05 we intend to make the BI Portal fully compatible with Edge. "
Unfortunately we cannot wait for a fix. I am getting a VM with windows 10 and will work on this. I am hoping there is an easy fix... maybe the user-agent string is causing a problem in some javascript somewhere. At the very least we need to detect that the user is using edge and display a nice message.
In our case, we do not have windows 10. So I don't care from a development point of view.
But we are customer facing so our site needs to work in Edge. The entire webfocus portal is not supported. Even though Edge uses all the same standards as chrome.
I think there is a problem in ...
webapps/webfocus/bindows/js/application.js
But I am hesitant to start modifying those internal js files....
App Studio works fine in Windows 10. It will not invoke the Edge browser though. It invokes IE 11.
