We are getting the following error in the report caster job log: "PORT :530 Only client IP address allowed for PORT command"
The reporting server, ftp server, and database server are all on the same network, separate machines, and behind the firewall. We have tried using the dns name and the ipaddress of the ftp server. The same error still occurs.
To test to see if the ftp site was setup properly, we tested the ftp site with an ftp client (filezilla). In order to get Filezilla to work, we were required to set the transfer type to "Active", not "Passive". The file then uploaded to the ftp site.
Report caster does not seem to have a configuration setting for the ftp transfer mode. How can we tell report caster to use "Active" mode instead of the default of "Passive" ?
If Passive is only supported, how do we configure the client machine or ftp site to work in our environment with all devices behind the firewall?
