Zu, Your "ACROSS" must be a BY as you will receive an error if you try it with ACROSS (unless it is also a BY )T

hm, i dont get an error, and i need it by ACROSS  i think i was a little confusing with my problem. for example i have this: i print 2 fields across something else. Zu, Try creating an example using the car file, something like TABLE FILE CAR SUM RCOST ACROSS COUNTRY etc.... That way we can see what you're trying to achieve. T
