Hi to all, An important question (for me) Does the new version WF 7.1 go over the 2 Gbytes limit for focsort.foc ? It's amazing that WF has several significant performance and data volume improvements but in the last year I use heavily the command "CNT.DST" and so I often go beyond the limit of focsort.foc with large partitioned databases. Any news ? Thanks in advance Paolo
I'm working on AIX 4.3 and WF 5.3.2 There is no way to go over 2 Gbytes I have the same problem with HOLD files. The limit of the file size on my server is 64Gbytes. Paolo

Focsort in 7.1 is stuck at 2 gig as far as I've been able to see.
However the following settings can help SET AUTOTABLEF = OFF SET SAVEMATRIX=OFF
If you're on MVS and have an external sort package available SET EXTSORT = ON [/qb]
FYI - Just to confirm, I checked with inside resources, and the answer agrees with JG. 2GB is the limit of FOCSORT from 7.1 to 7.3. for FOCUS databases.
Cheers, Kerry
