Good Morning,

I'm a novice here w/ WebFocus/ReportCaster and I'm running into a bit of a problem. We currently have multiple Linux instances (Dev, Sandbox,UserAcceptanceTesting, PROD) and a ReportCaster job that runs fine on one instance seems to "time-out" on another.

I'm processing a file load with about 900 records and it might take about an hour to load, but on the time-out instance it stops after about 10 minutes. All the ReportCaster settings and program code are identical and the load is inserting records into the same database (Teradata). If I cut the file down to say 50 records, it works since it runs under the 10-11 minute cut-off.

Just wondering if maybe any of you all might know of a setting somewhere else that could impact the time jobs can run on ReportCaster. My system folks tell me that we are running a different version of WAS, but they have no idea what settings might be different.

If you have multiple Reporting Server (as I think), have you compared the Data Services settings ? Such as the cpu_limit, connection_limit, disk_limit, memory_limit ?


WF versions : Prod 8.2.04M gen 33, Dev 8.2.04M gen 33, OS : Windows, DB : MSSQL, Outputs : HTML, Excel, PDF
