We are on the process of creating synonyms that has to accessed in InfoAssit by business for generating Adhoc reports. We are facing a couple of issues with this synonyms...

1) Users wants the business name of the table columns to be displayed in InfoAssist instead of the technical column names. Say, for a column in the table with name USER_NM they want "User Name" to be displayed in the InfoAssit data pane. I tried modifying the Alias in inside the synonym, It is not working properly. Even creating some SQL error on Joins.

2) InfoAssit by itself groups all the non-numeric columns as dimensions and all the numeric columns as Measures. But we have lot of Dimension columns also in Integer format. Say Check Number, ID etc. How to segregate the Dimensions and Measures inside the Synonyms as we want?

Any insight or materials would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Try creating the Business Views on top of your synonyms then you will get see the business names in InfoAssist
