RBarronSyntax files for external editors
Recently, I came across a thread detailing some of the external editors people use to code FOCUS. (
Original thread located here)
The discussion was from some time ago, and the syntax files that had been posted have long since expired.
So my question is this:
Does anybody still have syntax files for any of the popular external editors? (TextPad, Crimson Editor, UltraEdit, EditPlus, etc.)
I personally use Crimson Editor, but this would be a good place to post anything you might have.
Thanks!

Tony AI have recently moved to Notepad ++ and have found it very easy to modify for a new language.
As for the others, I never managed to get hold of , or create, a specific language file for any of them. To be truthful, I lost interest long before it would have prvoed beneficial anyway

susannahUltra Edit has a focus syntax thing on its website you can download your own self.
I don't like UE much b/c it forces itself as your drug-of-choice when you right-click-view-source .. and i can't turn that off. The feature that it had that was nice...global replace across files...can be accomplished in textpad's new 'Wild Edit' program, a crippled version of which is free.

You can't change that via the File Types menu?
With the number of FOCUS developers out there, I'm genuinely surprised there aren't more 3rd-party tools for the language.

GamPNo, not through filetypes.
But you can change it using the registry editor.
Run REGEDIT, navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
|- Software
|-- Microsoft
|--- Internet Explorer
|---- View Source Editor
|----- Editor Name (Default) = C:\windows\notepad.exe
If this key/value does not exist, create it.
But, in case of UE, it will probably exist already.

RBarronWell, for better or worse, I spent the morning creating syntax files for my favorite editor, Crimson Editor. If anybody else would like them, they're available for download here (installation instructions and a sample file are included):
http://www.inphinity.org/CE_SyntaxFiles_FOCUS-v.5.zipI'll try to keep them up for as long as possible for lurkers. If I've moved them and you'd like to get a copy, either post here or email me: rgbarron (at) gmail (dot) com.
