Hello,

i have a MATCH Problem. I want to match two files (AFTER MATCH HOLD OLD). The first has 106 rows and the other 560 rows. The by fields i use for the match have the same name and datatype. After the match i receive a table with 113 rows. 7 rows more than i expected. The first columns with the by fields are filled and the other are empty,
until the print part begins from the second table. Strange behavior!!!!

Regards

Christian

You must be using print iso sum, otherwise this would not happen. Read up on the MATCH behavior inthe manual.

The key to understaning MATCH is the verbs and sort fields on each table in the match.

Definitely check out the manual.

Hi Christian,

It returned 113 rows because of the duplicate entries in either of the tables. So try using SUM instead of PRINT in either MATCH or RUN statements.

Hope it solves your problem.
