[CLOSED] ReportCaster 8104 library path
With distributed reports, using the path:
hostnameRazzerort/ibi_apps/library/libreport.jsp?id=reportidnumberplusversion=xx

But it takes us to the BIP portal, allows you to login- but then doesn't open the report. It should open the report but it seems like we are re-directed to the portal somehow. Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
B

Thank you, Francis- I think I'm getting closer. Now the user gets the link- but gets a 401 Access Denied error- so I believe I need to visit with our security person regarding access. That user is included in the access list for the schedule- but there must be permission to a folder or something that I am missing.

How did you work out the security issue causing the 401 error? We seem to think it has to do with web server access to report.rc, but we don't know where that is.

Thanks

Hi George:
As I recall, we have received the 401 Unauthorized error for a number of reasons. This particular one- I believe, had to do with the subnet not being open. We also get the same error- when we send a link (for report data) from ReportCaster to a person- and they try to open it up from Outlook. If their default browser is Chrome, but they are logged in to the Reporting portal using an Internet Explorer window-and they click on the link in their email, it does not authenticate. However, if they copy/paste the link from the email ReportCaster sends to them-into a new tab in the browser where they are logged in- the link does not error- and they are able to see the report data. In addition, we had opened a case with IBI and had a discussion regarding the securitysettings.xml setting of anonymousAuthEnabled="true" or anonymousAuthEnabled="false".
Hope this helps!
