Lately I've been seeing this code in posted examples:
ENGINE INT CACHE SET ON
Only thing I can find about it is in a release document 7.7 stating it's now available for all adapters. But not what kind of cache it is, nor how it works.
Developerstudio "help" does not cover it. Am I looking in the wrong place to find documentation on things like ENGINE SET etc. Although part of the reporting environment, not documented there...
A little elaboration: Our BI-chain is split up. One part ( in IT ) does ETL, builds masters & businessviews and takes care of the maintenance/configuration of the webfocus environment.
the other part ( not in IT ! ) consult the business on definitions, wishes, KPI's, etc. And builds reports based on business requirements. So this part only used the "reporting"-side of Webfocus.
I'm in the last part, so I do not have access to administrive tools/consoles whatever... ...and I'm afraid : no access to some documentation. This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Kathryn Henning>,

Hi Dave, It is probably not being used correctly, and, yes, that is what the command was designed for, I think.
Click on the Tech Doc Search link, then click on WebFOCUS 8 Technical Library, the 2nd link. That will take you to the page shown in the snapshot. In the Search box, type engine int like I did as shown.. hth Tom
