I have read three pages of posts on working with Excel Templates, I've read documentation from an IBUG meeting, I have instructions from a friend and I still can't get it to work.
I've created my .mht file which contains two worksheets, worksheet one contains a space in column A, worksheet two contains a space in column A and columns 16 - 29 are formated to display my column headings vertically. I"ve ftp'd the file to the reporting server. I've file def'd the template and the output file.

APP FI COMPXLS DISK webfocus/compxls.mht
APP FI COMPXLS1 DISK compxls1.mht
-RUN

the directory 'webfocus' is in my app path.

I am creating a single report. I keep getting the following error:

(FOC3289) EXL2K TEMPLATE FILE: Error opening file
(FOC009) INCOMPLETE REQUEST STATEMENT
BYPASSING TO END OF COMMAND

What am I doing wrong?

I'm replying to my own post -- my problem is UNIX security -- I changed the security set on the template in UNIX and my program works fine.
