Hi All, I am using Horizontal bar stack reeport(HBRSTK1). I need to sort based on x-axis. Currently it is showing y-axis as sort order. Can i know how can i do this.
Thanks, RaghuThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
Hi Ginny, please find below code. My requirement is max salary should dispaly on top of the graph. TABLE FILE employee SUM CURR_SAL BY DEPARTMENT ON TABLE HOLD AS employee1 END GRAPH FILE EMPLOYEE1 SUM CURR_SAL BY DEPARTMENT ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH HBRSTK1 ON GRAPH SET GRAPHEDIT SERVER ON GRAPH SET BARNUMB OFF ON GRAPH SET 3D OFF ON GRAPH SET VZERO ON ON GRAPH SET GRID ON ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT PNG ON GRAPH SET GRAPHSTYLE * setMarkerDisplay(true); setConnectLineMarkers(false); setConnectScatterMarkers(false); setO1LabelDisplay(true); setO1AxisSide(0); setO1MajorGridDisplay(true); setO1MajorGridStyle(0); setO1MinorGridDisplay(false); setAxisAssignment(0,0); setY1LabelDisplay(true); setY1AxisSide(0); setY1MajorGridDisplay(true); setY1MajorGridStyle(0); setY1MinorGridDisplay(false); setTextFormatPreset(getY1Label(),-1); setTextFormatPattern(getY1Label(),"#.##"); setPieFeelerTextDisplay(1); setPieLabelDisplay(0); setTextFormatPreset(getPieSliceLabel(),1); setRiserBorderMode(1); setSeriesDefaultTransparentBorderColor(true); setUseSeriesBorderDefaults(true); setLegendDisplay(true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getY1Title(),true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getY1Label(),true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getY2Title(),true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getY2Label(),true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getO1Title(),true); setPlace(true); ENDSTYLE ON GRAPH SET STYLE * SQUEEZE=ON, ORIENTATION=PORTRAIT, $ TYPE=REPORT, GRID=OFF, FONT='TIMES NEW ROMAN', SIZE=10, $ TYPE=HEADING, LINE=1, OBJECT=TEXT, ITEM=1, FONT='??', $ TYPE=FOOTING, LINE=1, OBJECT=TEXT, ITEM=1, FONT='??', $ ENDSTYLE END
I'm confused. You are using a horizontal stacked bar chart, but it sounds like you want a vertical bar chart. If this is the case, then change "ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH HBRSTK1" to "ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH VBAR".

Hi Ginny, My requirement is for HBRSTK1. As per the example . department having highest salary for corresponding department should be placed first position from the top.
Raghu, I think you are looking for a custom sort and here it is
TABLE FILE EMPLOYEE
SUM
COMPUTE C_SALE/D12.2=CURR_SAL;
BY HIGHEST TOTAL C_SALE NOPRINT
BY DEPARTMENT
ON TABLE HOLD AS EMPLOYEE1
END
-RUN
-SET &COLMS_VAL='';
-SET &CNT=0;
-REPEAT LP1 &LINES TIMES
-READ EMPLOYEE1 &DP.A10. NOCLOSE
-SET &DP=TRUNCATE(&DP);
-SET &CNT=&CNT+1;
-SET &COLMS_VAL=IF &CNT LT &LINES THEN &COLMS_VAL | '''' | &DP | '''' | ' AND ' ELSE &COLMS_VAL | '''' | &DP | '''';
-TYPE &DP
-TYPE &COLMS_VAL
-LP1
GRAPH FILE EMPLOYEE1
PRINT
C_SALE AS CURR_SAL
ACROSS DEPARTMENT COLUMNS &COLMS_VAL
ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH HBRSTK1
ON GRAPH SET GRAPHEDIT SERVER
ON GRAPH SET BARNUMB OFF
ON GRAPH SET 3D OFF
ON GRAPH SET VZERO ON
ON GRAPH SET GRID ON
ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT PNG
ON GRAPH SET GRAPHSTYLE *
setMarkerDisplay(true);
setConnectLineMarkers(false);
setConnectScatterMarkers(false);
setO1LabelDisplay(true);
setO1AxisSide(0);
setO1MajorGridDisplay(true);
setO1MajorGridStyle(0);
setO1MinorGridDisplay(false);
setAxisAssignment(0,0);
setY1LabelDisplay(true);
setY1AxisSide(0);
setY1MajorGridDisplay(true);
setY1MajorGridStyle(0);
setY1MinorGridDisplay(false);
setTextFormatPreset(getY1Label(),-1);
setTextFormatPattern(getY1Label(),"#.##");
setPieFeelerTextDisplay(1);
setPieLabelDisplay(0);
setTextFormatPreset(getPieSliceLabel(),1);
setRiserBorderMode(1);
setSeriesDefaultTransparentBorderColor(true);
setUseSeriesBorderDefaults(true);
setLegendDisplay(true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getY1Title(),true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getY1Label(),true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getY2Title(),true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getY2Label(),true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getO1Title(),true);
setPlace(true);
ENDSTYLE
ON GRAPH SET STYLE *
SQUEEZE=ON,
ORIENTATION=PORTRAIT,
$
TYPE=REPORT,
GRID=OFF,
FONT='TIMES NEW ROMAN',
SIZE=10,
$
ENDSTYLE
END
This is a slightly different approach. The statement "ON GRAPH SET GRMERGE ON" is required for this to work.
GRAPH FILE EMPLOYEE
SUM CURR_SAL
BY TOTAL HIGHEST CURR_SAL NOPRINT
BY DEPARTMENT
ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH HBRSTK1
ON GRAPH SET GRAPHEDIT SERVER
ON GRAPH SET BARNUMB OFF
ON GRAPH SET 3D OFF
ON GRAPH SET VZERO ON
ON GRAPH SET GRID ON
ON GRAPH SET GRMERGE ON
ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT PNG
ON GRAPH SET GRAPHSTYLE *
setMarkerDisplay(true);
setConnectLineMarkers(false);
setConnectScatterMarkers(false);
setO1LabelDisplay(true);
setO1AxisSide(0);
setO1MajorGridDisplay(true);
setO1MajorGridStyle(0);
setO1MinorGridDisplay(false);
setAxisAssignment(0,0);
setY1LabelDisplay(true);
setY1AxisSide(0);
setY1MajorGridDisplay(true);
setY1MajorGridStyle(0);
setY1MinorGridDisplay(false);
setTextFormatPreset(getY1Label(),-1);
setTextFormatPattern(getY1Label(),"#.##");
setPieFeelerTextDisplay(1);
setPieLabelDisplay(0);
setTextFormatPreset(getPieSliceLabel(),1);
setRiserBorderMode(1);
setSeriesDefaultTransparentBorderColor(true);
setUseSeriesBorderDefaults(true);
setLegendDisplay(true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getY1Title(),true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getY1Label(),true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getY2Title(),true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getY2Label(),true);
setFontSizeAbsolute(getO1Title(),true);
setPlace(true);
ENDSTYLE
ON GRAPH SET STYLE *
SQUEEZE=ON,
ORIENTATION=PORTRAIT,
$
TYPE=REPORT,
GRID=OFF,
FONT='TIMES NEW ROMAN',
SIZE=10,
$
TYPE=HEADING,
LINE=1,
OBJECT=TEXT,
ITEM=1,
FONT='??',
$
TYPE=FOOTING,
LINE=1,
OBJECT=TEXT,
ITEM=1,
FONT='??',
$
ENDSTYLE
END
