I am writing a WHERE statement using a particular field. I only know certain characters in that field. Can I use wild card characters to help the filter?

Here is an example: The field is formated A25. The contents of the field are 01.6000.3000 or like type configuration. I want to capture any data that has a 3000 in the last 4 characters of that field. How do I write my WHERE statement?

DEFINE FILE WHATEVER
LAST_TOKEN/A4 = GETTOK(COLUMN_NAME, 25, -1, '.', 4, LAST_TOKEN);
END

TABLE FILE WHATEVER
ETC...
WHERE LAST_TOKEN EQ '3000';

bc,

I'm glad to see that you have this working. I'm curious though, wouldn't it be more efficient to use
TABLE FILE WHATEVER
ETC...
WHERE COLUMN_NAME LIKE '%3000';
END

If you have a lot of records the DEFINE method could potentially slow things down.

Just a thought.
