We just converted from WF 5.3.6 to WF 7.6.8 and as a result no longer can use the cgi method of running a fex. Instead we must now use WFServlet. The existing code in the asp.net application had used: "/cgi-bin/ibi_cgi/ibiweb.exe" this was replaced with: "/ibi_apps/WFServlet" but now get page not found. Any thoughts?

It's possible... Just some food for thought: Use either a PUT / POST / or a complete URL... The URL may pose an issue if you're concerned about security. But. the security should be in the DB for this...

Be aware that you do need to have an application server active to pick up the ibi_apps calls - these are not 'just' aliases like the /cgi-bin/ibi_cgi calls were.
It looks as though you either do not have an app server (like tomcat) active or, if it is active, that you can't get to it for some reason.
Could you please describe your environment a bit - os, webserver, app server and such - so we may be able to help you better?

The best way to call WebFOCUS from an ASP.NET application is to license WebFOCUS Web Services. That way all security is controlled through the Web Services. You would also be able to create your own parameter collection screen by making a Web Service call to find out the current parameters of the WebFOCUS report.

Thanks folks... FYI the problem was traced to a missing jakarta folder in the server's directory.

Well, that makes sense. It made you unable to connect to tomcat, hence the problem.
Would you please modify the topic so that it reflects that the problem is solved?
