[SOLVED] Convert Alpha field that contains date as DMTYY to YYMD???

I'm stumped! Other than breaking the alpha field into three, converting the three letter month into number via DECODE and then putting them back together, I can't figure out how to do this.

YYMD to DMTYY is easy, the other way, not so. Maybe with a Date-Time function?

Any ideas?

Looks like if you can change the format of the field in the master to HDMYY it will work.

My only suggestion would be to extract the data, then load another master to read it.
