NEW FEATURES TO TEST
This beta cycle includes all products – WebFOCUS, ReportCaster, and Developer Studio. Additional Reporting Servers are provided and can be used with WebFOCUS and/or Developer Studio if necessary. Beta 2 should be used to evaluate all product features with the exception of the Dashboard Change Management utility.

Create synonyms against BEx queries and use Developer Studio to create report requests. Level and parent/child hierarchy models are supported and reporting rules are automatically enforced.

2. ACTIVE REPORTING
HTML Active reports provide customizable options for creating HTML formatted reports which enable users to experience features similar to those found in Excel workbooks.

An HTML Active Report is designed for distribution to users to perform offline analysis and interactive functions without any connection to a server.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Beta program is for Information Builders customers and WebFOCUS users who would like to receive a pre-final version of the product (i.e., the "Beta" release) to run reports, process data, or perform the normal tasks which they would have performed if given a final version.

Over the years, our Beta testers consider this unique opportunity to be very rewarding and they appreciate the chance to play an integral role in helping to build a product which they have grown to rely upon. However, Beta testing is not for everybody - it's for people who can work with and tolerate the ups and downs of an unfinished product. Beta testers also report any issues or anomalies they may encounter so we can address them before the next release.

ABOUT THE BENEFITS
