[CASE-OPENED] Excel 2010 credentials when pulling report from library
My Excel 2010 users are getting an additional credentials dialog box when pulling reports fron the report library. It is only my Excel 2010 users. The thing is you can put in crap credentials 3 times then you get your Excel spreadsheet. It seems I need to block OPTIONS and PROPFINDS on my http server. Has anyone seen this before?

I alreday have a long running case on this.

Yes and it appears to be good ol' Microshaft doing its thang.(?)

You can also click on cancel so you do not have to anter credentials 3 times (or at least I can Smiler)

Hello,

Has anybody found a solution to this problem. One of our top guys is having this issue and I am under pressure to give him a quick and easy solution.

Thanks

We found that if you go to control panel/administrative tools/services/ and make the WebClient disabled and then restart, it won't ask for those credentials when outputting to excel.

I haven't had it mess up anything else, but that's always a possibility.

Thank you.

I was looking for some config changes at the server level instead of at the client side. We have a mix and match of 2003 and 2010 users and most of the users don't have access to modify the control panel settings. Anyways, I appreciate your help.

Normally clicking cancel will work, or changing to a https server.
