Can the subtotal line on a report be moved from the bottom of the group to the top?

The GUI doesn't have this setting, so, unless you want to keep using the GUI, no joy!!
It was requested in 2012, guess not a priority...

If you want to Edit via the Text Editor, under

ENGINE INT CACHE SET ON

add:
SET SUBTOTAL = ABOVE

Won't be able to open in GUI again, unless you Edit with the Text Editor, remove it, make your changes, then, put it back in at the very end...

One way to keep the GUI and have SET commands is to create a reporting object and place the SET in the Preprocessing section.

That'll let you open the report with the GUI and have SET SUBTOTAL = ABOVE in the code.
