On Calling DSTRUN - Report Caster Job Runs - FTP's a file to Server

Is it possible to send out an acknowledgement mail without an attachment to the user(who initiated the DSTRUN).

OR

Is there a way to send mail from report caster without attachment(provided by send as inline message is disabled), an acknowledgement mail.

When you set up your RC job you can select a short or long notification to be sent never, always, or on error to whoever you want.

I have a dynamic list and it needs to be a mail template kind. As in (Hi, The Job requested by is complete. Please check the ftp server)

You can set up a post procedure to run to execute a dynamic distribution.

Please find the detailed process

1. User selects an Option
2. DST RUN Calls the JOB
3. JOB Transfers the file to FTP
4. DST RUN to send out the mail to the selected user is called
5. This mail needs to go without attachment. If i try to create a dummy fex without data. It fails to go and says no report to distribute.

Please let me know your thoughts.

You could add a small procedure at the end of your main program that selects the individual to who the email will go and send via EDAMAIL.

Workspace > Configuration > E-Mail SMTP Server

Could be under the General tab if release prior to 7703

I have removed the "A", Since, I want the body to be

"Your file is uploaded"

But I get the below in my mail. I need to remove these tags. Any thoughts.
