Hello

We have need to convert existing crystal reports
to WebFocus 5.3. Is there a component / feature
in Webfocus , which will make this happen ?

Thanks

Nathan,

I suppose the easy way out is to use SQL Passthru. Take the SQL that Crystal generates and incorporate it in a fex. We went for that for a few reports when migrating from Microstrategy to WebFOCUS.

Thanks Lidholm.
That was very helpful.

Another suggestion was that webfocus can also
call stored procedures. ( Assuming crystal
reports are doing the same ).

Thanks

In the next WebFocus release .. 7, the Developer Studio will have a direct way to reuse SQL. It will be available by June for downloading.
