[SOLVED] How to use "not" logic in a FOCEXEC

In a FOCEXEC I know you can use logic like the following:

IF BEGIN_DATE IS-FROM &DATE1 to &DATE2

but can you use logic like this:

IF END_DATE NOT < &DATE1
IF BEGIN_DATE NOT > &DATE2

In other words, in my program and MFD, I have a BEGIN_DATE and END_DATE and I also key in on my form a beginning date and ending date. What I want to confirm is that dates I process are within a date range. I want to exclude records whose ending date is less than my BEGIN_DATE or whose beginning date is greater than my END_DATE.

I know that's somewhat muddled, but can't think of another way to say it.

Wouldn't be easier to think about the rows you want to INCLUDE in the report, thus avoiding the negative and the NOT?

Would this work:

WHERE BEGIN_DATE GE &DATE1
WHERE END_DATE LE DATE2

Think of it as a boolean expression -
IF NOT(END_DATE LT &DATE1)
IF NOT(BEGIN_DATE GT &DATE2)
