GlendaInvalid root page
Francis,
Did you ever figure out what was causing you to get this error?
January 30, 2008, 05:02 PM
Francis MarianiGlenda, sorry - no. I don't think happens for one specific reason only, it could happen for a variety of reasons.
Check the generated SQL.
I'm sorry I can't be of much help.

DougI couldn't find an answer to "Why am I getting an 'INVALID ROOT PAGE'" message (it did not show up as an error). But, I do supect either an over-sized field used as an INDEX / for JOINing or dis-similar formats of the fields used in a JOIN.
The reason I say this is that I got this error when joining a A254 with an A254V (bad Idea in the first place, I know. But this was for the IBIMR_DOM and SMRPCS files). I first tried DEFINEing new fields as A254 and using them which didn't work. So, I DEFINEd new fields as A32 and used them which did work (the A32 was sufficient for the actual data).
I posted this in hopes that it may help others...
