Hi,

I have two fields one is date filed the format is DMONYY and another field format is A50.
I should more these two fields.
Is there anyway to convert the date format from DMONYY to A50 by any chance.
please do help me out

Use the DATECVT function:

DEFINE FILE CAR
DATE1/DMYY WITH COUNTRY = '17112009';
DATE2/A50 = DATECVT(DATE1, 'DMYY', 'A8DMYY');
END
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT DATE1 DATE2
END

I've never seen the DMONYY date format before, but I imagine it's equivalent to DMYY.
