a customer wants to make some kind of Matching based on external data and DM data.
They get some new files with some customers references and they want to update the DataMart customer table with new data coming from external files, this should be based on a score.
Kind of fuzzy logic needs to be used as names can be wriiten differently.

Example :
coming from external file

CustA
Cust. B

DataMart content :
Customer A
Cstomer B.

Some rules need to be written, I thought about SOUNDEX but not easy to use.

I know that it's a perfect DataQuality job, but if few options are available within WebFOCUS, it should be great.

Not sure what you mean with the subject of your question using DB_LOOKUP? Using DB_LOOKUP you will need referencing ID's in both tables? In case you have those, you could also look into the MATCH function and print both tables and see where they are matching?
