I thought I would use AGA to create a Thermometer Gauge as it describes in the manual on page 462.

Imagine my surprise when I encountered every graph type known to man with the sole exception of the Thermometer Gauge!

Does anybody know whether this type of graph can be done in WebFOCUS?

I can't help you but I did find that a Thermometer Gauge Graph is GraphType 138. This from a manual called "WebFOCUS Graphics, Version 7 Release 6".

Is this the graphics package IBI use

http://www.threedgraphics.com/tdg/store/

Can't seem to find graph type 138 in the IBI docs and thought it might be on the docs on this site.

The other thing I found under 3D Graphics was an open source Java project so I wonder if this has anything to do with wf.

Any answers appreciated.

John,

The latest version of the WF graphics manual is wf76graphics.pdf and it can be downloaded from the IBI web site.

Years ago, IBI acquired the source for the 3D Graphics API and I think is now totally responsible for the graph code in WebFOCUS.

John,

The ThreeD product that was used within WF was the Perspective for Java which can be located under the link you give via the Products menu.

I often refer to the original manual (available online) as it sometimes gave more info than the equivalent IB manual.

The alternative is to use the method of bullet graphs that is oft used and was referenced at last years Summit. See this thread
