How do you schedule an excel distribution report on report caster to save in a share drive instead of an email? I have many reports that users save manually, and I can't seem to find any documentation on this in the IBI advanced search 8.1 tech doc. This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,

Instead of doing PCHOLD, use HOLD. Then use ftp, sftp, scp, or whatever you have available and move the file to the shared folder. Report Caster does have the ability to do this but I've never taken the time to make it work. We are still on 8.0.08 and still use the old dashboards. We do this all the time by using scp to copy the report to the client server then give users a link to the report on the dashboard.

If you are on Windows then you can use APP MAP and FILEDEF to map your output file to a specific UNC location.
WebFOCUS prefers no paces in the file path, especially prior to 8.2x.
Then you just SAVE rather then PCHOLD.
We also have a HTMLFORM section that is sent via ReportCaster to tell the user the location of the file and the filename.
With WebFOCUS 8.2 there are new options to hold to disk in ReportCaster, but they a quite fidly to setup and if you have multiple locations then the FILEDEF and APP MAP option are much easier to maintain
Cheers
