I'm using a template to try and hold ex2k output to the server. Getting a "not a valid single web page archive" message when I try to open up the xls after I generate the file.
APP APPENDPATH 42482529 -RUN
FILEDEF OUT1 DISK 42482529/test.xls -RUN TABLE FILE CAR PRINT CAR MODEL BODYTYPE BY COUNTRY ON TABLE HOLD AS OUT1 FORMAT EXL2K TEMPLATE 'cart' SHEETNUMBER 2 END
The main cause is that your template file may not be valid. The .mht which I do not see in your example must have 2 worksheets and the must both contain something even if it is only a space in a single cell.
Also if you are using Office 2007 EXL2K TEMPLATE doe not work. This is because Microsoft have made changes to the specification of the Web Archive format. This means IBI are having to re-engineer how TEMPLATE works
You need to generate your template using Excel. Then you can populate it with WebFocus, but your last step needs to be ON TABLE PCHOLD instead of ON TABLE HOLD. There have been a lot of posts on this issue, I would suggest you search the FORUM for more info.
