We are currently testing Webfocus 7.11 and we have come across an issue where no data is returned for some of our reports that are accessing a large Sybase table. When we run the following code in our Webfocus 5.23 environment everything works fine. When we run the same code using Webfocus 7.11 accessing the same database no data is returned.
-INCLUDE WHSECONN DEFINE FILE EVENT PTDPURCH/D11 = IF INVTRANTYPEIDTXT IS 'QSTN' THEN TRADEAMT ELSE 0; END TABLE FILE EVENT SUM PTDPURCH AS 'PURCHASES' IF TRDTE GE 20050101 IF TRDTE LE 20051231 BY IKEYNUM END
Things seem to stop working when we add the IF statement in the define.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ron

The code looks like fine. My question on this topic may be a little trivia, but, please let us know if WebFOCUS 7.1.1 has an adapter properly configured to access the large Sybase table.
If the problem is related with configurations, the best channel for assistance would be to contact Information Builders' Customer Support Services, either call 1-800-736-6130 or access the online system InfoResponse. Please be ready to provide some detailed info as listed here: http://techsupport.informationbuilders.com/before_you_call.jsp
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Kerry

FYI, It turns out that the issue is realted to the field definition in the master file associated with the Sybase table. Our old master file had the TRDTE field defined as follows:
