[CLOSED] How to get the entire contents from a CLOB field of an Oracle table
We have a data element using CLOB stored in Oracle database table and we need to get the entire contents from it and show the data into a column of the report, because neither FOCUS data source nor XFOCUS data source can hold the full text for the CLOB.

Any suggestions?

Thanks and regards,

did you do a search on the forum for CLOB? There has been several discussions that might help you.

The Adapter Administration for UNIX, Windows, OpenVMS, i5/OS, and z/OS, Version 7 Release 6.4 specifies that, for Oracle CLOB field, the data type usage is TX50 and actual is TX - and that the "Server supports CLOB through the OCI interface, with ora_oci=y set in edaserve.cfg". It appears a configuration change is required. I cannot find the 7.1.* version of the document, but if you have a copy, look at the "Using the Adapter for Oracle" section.
