[SOLVED] Accessing a file from different server
Hi,

I have a master file on Unix server and other one on Windows server. I need to join these two files and create report on Windows server. I tried creating a hold file on Unix server and then including it in a procedure in Windows server but its not working, shows "Description for file not found" error. Please help me in this matter

Do you have 2 reporting servers? If yes, you can set up one, the Unix one, as a subserver of the Windows one, and create a synonym for the Unix file on the Windows server. If you can do that, you should still extract the data from Unix and hold it on the Windows box and then join. Do not do a cross-platform join as it is very inefficient and will not perform.
