[SOLVED] Error while opeing Excel Reports due to Excel Version

Hi,

When the reports to display in excel format is executed and about to display, an error message is poping up saying "The File you are trying to open, WFServlet.xls, is in different format....". I guess this error is due to the excel version(2007) in my machine. Please share your ideas to suppress this error.

Thanks a lot Waz. This solution works. But, I need to check with my admin team to setup in regedit. B'cas, This would suppress any excel files and not only the WebFOCUS reports.

Refer to When you open a file in Excel 2007,
you receive a warning that the file format differs from the format that the file name extension specifies

This is an official Microsoft support article on this issue.

And contry to the post by FOCUSin in the link provided by Waz Microsofts statement is
