You're obviously ising a TABLE request to get the SQL output? Just SAVE it and read it as a variable and then issue your SET to equal that variable.

Code sample for you Priya:
-SET &ECHO=ALL;
SQL DB2
SELECT
FLD1
,FLD2
,FLD3
FROM DB1.TBL1
WHERE FLD9 = 22
;
TABLE
ON TABLE SAVE AS HS1
END
-RUN
-*
-READ HS1 &FLX1.A50 &FLX2.A10 &FLX3.A5
-TYPE &FLX1 &FLX2 &FLX3
-EXIT
-*
In the above example, the 3 fields were defined with data type 'Char' in the database and with lengths of 50,10,5 respectively. You would use whatever type/length your extracted fields are. These FOCUS variables are now available to use for the rest of your session.

Hope that helps,
Sandeep Mamidenna.
