[SOLVED] How to link HTML file with multiple focus Reports embeded?

Hello,

I have a simple problem.
I've designed a "Guided Report From" with "Composer layout" in DevStudio. The ".html" file has a different Focus report on each Tab.

My question is how do I share the Web Page over the internet via a URL? (What code should I add to the .fex files? How to write the URL so anybody can access it?)

I'm 6 weeks into WebFocus, and I'd greatly appreciate if I could be assisted as soon as possible.

Do you have an issue with Internal and external names ?

The html file is available via the approot directory stricture, and may be able to be copies to another web server, as long as the links in the web page are still available, where ever the page is opened from.

Here is the HTML File I created. It is currently on the EDASERVE/Applications folder of the Webfocus Server: (BFS:/servername/EDA/EDASERVE/APPPATH/appfoldername/).

If anything, What am I missing? I just want to generate a URL that will make the page available to anyone on the web with no security.

That's what I was looking for. But I'm being asked to enter credentials when accessing the URL from a different computer. HOw can I get rid of that login screen?

What credentials are being asked for? If it's WebFOCUS, then the WebFOCUS Reporting Server has security turned on - it's most likely expecting a User ID/Password to get to the data.

Those are exactly the credentials being asked.
How can I turn off security so that the UserID/Password Prompt doesn't show up using the URL? I want people to be able to access the report page directly.

It sounds like it is asking for the WebFOCUS Reporting Server user ID/password.

This option can be set in the WebFOCUS Administration Console.

- Go to the "Welcome to WebFOCUS homepage"
- Click on the "WebFOCUS Administration Console"
- On the left click on "Configuration" and you will see an option there for "Reporting Server", click on this option. Then enter your username and password and then click Save at the bottom of the screen.

If this is the username and password it is looking for, this will get rid of that prompt for you.

I am assuming that you are using the Administrator credentials for this setup. I never like giving anyone Administrator level access to anything. Smiler

I am pretty sure that the security is going to come down to the web server, although I could be wrong. If your using Apache Tomcat version 6 or higher then I would take a look at Taming Tomcat Security Exercise 5. This was something from Summit 2011. It is an interesting read and something I learned when I was at Summit.
