I thought I resolved this, but the accents in my code disappear when I save and re-open in DevStudio.

Give me code, or give me retirement. In FOCUS since 1991
Production: WF 7.7.05M, Dev Studio, BID, MRE, WebSphere, DB2 / Test: WF 8.1.05M, App Studio, BI Portal, Report Caster, jQuery, HighCharts, Apache Tomcat, MS SQL Server
It seems the code page on the client somehow changed from the required 137 to the default 437. I wonder if this happens every time WebFOCUS is updated, not very nice if this is the case.

Yes, editing was done in Dev Studio text editor. I haven't found any Language options in Dev Studio, so I just can't explain why the situation occurred.

There used to be an option to "Store data as ANSI" under "Other Settings" in DS - Windows/Options but that has disappeared in 7.6.11. That used to keep symbols such as the Birtish Pound symbol £ for us each time we saved - until we upgraded of course. I got so fed up with having to edit the code each time in DS that I started using HEXBYT(156, 'A1') in DM, Defines and Computes - a bit long winded I know but at least I then didn't have to edit every time!!
Not sure what release it was removed from but it was still there in 7.1.6.
