Hi.. I was wondering how ReportCaster can be run using a common ID. Like an Operator who would run the reports.. Instead of using personal Id, use a common ID to run the reports..
Has anyone have this sceneario at their organizations and how it is being handled?
Will be migrating to WF 8 so, solution needs to work in both 7.6.11 and WF 8

That's easy... Set up a "Common ID" which you can use to sign in to RC, create a RC job and use that Common ID for the execution ID with it's password. Then anyone with that Common ID and Passord can run that job.

In the Report Caster Console, Configuration, Data Servers.
In Security Type Select Static, then enter the id in User.
All newly created schedules will be submitted to the Reporting Server with this id.
As far as I know this is available in all versions back to 4.3.
