My initial thoughts on this is issue is because of #. as webfocus behaves a bit differently than SQL server sometimes, one can try and test using various options. I think I should test it with table without hastags..? any help or comment on this is appreciated.. thanks

The error is a SQL error, so its an issue at the database. If you take your SQL passthrough exactly as it is and run it in MS SQL, do you get any prompts? Do you run into an errors?
Also I would try running a SQL Trace from WF to see if anything is being translated before its getting passed to the DB.

1. The stored proc is running fine in SQL database. but when its called to execute from WebFOCUS sql passthrough code it genrates the error: (FOC1400) SQLCODE IS 208 (HEX: 000000D0) XOPEN: 42S02 : Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server: [42S02] Invalid object name '# : Segment'. L (FOC1405) SQL PREPARE ERROR.
2. Proc is executed in WF so session its taking is same I think.
I will upload sql trace soon.
Thanks
