We have several reports that sometimes are executed from the dashboard by a user and sometimes (once a week) by reportcaster.
In the report we want to place a "signature" that holds "&MY_user" (and some other fields).
The challange now is that if we try to run it via reportcaster the value &MY_user gives us a problem, since it is not known in the reportcaster proces.
My idea now was to test if the process is executed by reportcaster I could jump over the &MY_user coding. But how do I test that?
Is there a amper variable available that tests this?
Any other idea? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

Check the values of variables &FOCFOCEXEC and &DSTJOBNAME when running a procedure interactively and in ReportCaster. We use one or both here to determine the origin of a job.

Frank, I had the same problem as you have. Only we run the reports directly from MRE and from RC. We check the last character of the domain name to determine the language for the report (N for Dutch F for French and E for English).
In every report that need to run both ways I put in this:
